Redemptions
Re Protocol’s redemption system balances instant liquidity with long-term capital stability for on-chain reinsurance operations.
Submit redemption requests at https://app.re.xyz/redeem and monitor real-time capacity at https://app.re.xyz/transparency.
Redemption Modes
Instant Mode: Redemptions execute atomically (T+0) from available, uncommitted on-chain liquidity.
Quarterly Mode: Requests are queued and fulfilled in scheduled windows when instant liquidity is unavailable.
Defaults by token:
reUSD defaults to Instant mode.
reUSDe defaults to Quarterly mode.
Queue Behavior and Priority
If instant liquidity is exhausted, new reUSD requests move to queue mode.
Queued withdrawals are processed FIFO in the order received.
Unfilled requests remain in queue until liquidity is replenished.
Limits, Pricing, and Fees
Minting and redemption are KYC/KYB-gated.
Daily/per-wallet redemption limits are governance-configured and shown on the transparency dashboard.
As currently configured, the protocol limits daily redemption to 20% of the total redemption capacity available on each chain and 10% of daily availability per wallet.
Redemption price follows the token’s daily reference price; the act of redeeming does not reprice the token.
Instant redemption fee: 16 bps (governance-configurable).
Redemption Assets
Default instant redemption asset on Mainnet: sUSDe
On Avalanche, USDC redemption is supported for reUSD.
Transparency
The protocol publishes redeemable balances, available redemption capacity, and active limits in real time:
